AccessHMO traces its origins back to New York

City in 1989 when we received our first HMO credentials and license during a period

when alternative managed care was initially introduced to address spiraling medical inflation.

Our first partnership was signed with the Travelers Health Network of Hartford, Connecticut - Pioneers of cost effective healthcare solutions to both the individual and small group market.

Travelers was acquired by United Healthcare in 1995

as we transitioned and successfully merged our indemnity health insurance clientele into a traditional Health Maintenance Organization with expanded Point of Service options based on coverage area.

In 2001, AccessHMO was chosen by Access HMO for the pilot project that introduced Foreigners’ Private Health Insurance into Berlin, Germany and Prague, Czech Republic and simultaneously developed local provider networks.

Joint research and development with VZP a.s., began in 2005 with the launch of VZPforForeigners designed specifically to address the regulatory challenges facing an expanding European Union, by

Meeting the demanding needs of both government and industry to facilitate a sustainable, guest labor to immigration program.

Our goal has always been to provide our valued clients with the widest selection of board certified general practitioners and specialists, fast access to any licensed hospital or clinic in the world at the most competitive rates available with a long term commitment to service.

In 1991 AccessHMO joined forces with the

most notably, Mount Sinai Hospital,

who’s private practice specialists formed the first

ever, Exclusive Managed Care Network in Manhattan
